Lover of canned craft beer and variety packs rejoice! Baxter Brewing Company out of Lewiston, Maine has announced today, that starting in January they will be distributing twelve can variety packs. Fans of Baxter brewing have been asking for a mixed twelve pack from the start and they have heard your pleas. The Mixed packs, called “Baxter Backpacks” will include three cans each of regular production beers as well as the current seasonal offering. The first Backpacks will release in January and will include, Pamola Xtra Pale Ale, Stowaway IPA, Amber Road and Phantom Punch Winter Stout. I am not a fan of buying a six-pack of one beer, I rarely do it, instead opting to build my own six-pack or I’ll go for a mixed variety twelve pack.

Baxter Brewing also announced that in mid-January they will begin distributing a beer celebrating their third anniversary. “On The Count of Three” an Imperial Hefeweizen is a single batch that will only be distributed once. Modeled after a traditional Hefeweizen, On the Count of Three incorporates a traditional Bavarian yeast strain with an American twist, yielding a finished beer with a 7% ABV.
